Authenic human connection

At the heart of all services I provide is authentic human connection. The relationship built between you and your therapist is one of the key elements that supports your ability to make desired changes. I prioritize enhancing hope, another key element that supports the change process. I am intentional and flexible in my treatment approach, often applying multiple modalities over the course of treatment.

What type of therapy is best for me?

Many types of therapy have been shown to be effective. Generally, what approach is “best” for someone takes into consideration their primary concerns and their personal preferences. The primary concerns I specialize in treating are: anxiety, trauma, struggles to adapt to major life stressors, and relationship issues.

Anxiety Disorders

Often characterized by worry, overthinking, restlessness, and irritability.

My approach:

Typically addressed in individual therapy.

I use a combination of CBT and ACT based interventions, intertwined with somatic work, self-compassion, and IFS, to support clients experiencing anxiety.

Trauma/PTSD

Characterized by intrusive memories, avoidance, and hyperarousal.

My approach:

Typically addressed in individual therapy.

I use a combination of CPT and NET based interventions, intertwined with somatic work, self-compassion, and IFS, to support clients experiencing trauma related symptoms.

Adjustment Disorders

Characterized by challenges adapting to major life stressors resulting in anxiety, depression, and behavioral symptoms.

My approach:

Typically addressed in individual therapy.

I use a combination of CBT and ACT and self-compassion based interventions to support clients adjusting to stressors.

Relationship issues

Often characterized by repeated patterns of conflict and feeling disconnected.

My approach:

Often best addressed in couples therapy.

I treat both monogamous and polyamorous couples using the Gottman-Method to support them in improving their ability to navigate through conflict and overall sense of connectedness.
